AP Demo Application

COMPRÁ TECNOLOGÍA / DEMO APPLICATION

Software built around your workflow.

Comprá Tecnología serves as the reference benchmark: a custom desktop application designed for hardware retail management. Development starts by analyzing point-of-sale dynamics, inventory replenishment, and warranty return workflows.

The Challenge

Tracking sold units, maintaining accurate stock levels, and linking every transaction to clients and suppliers—eliminating reliance on disjointed spreadsheets.

Documented Scope

In-store retail sales, purchasing and restocking, returns and warranty (RMA) claims, and operational reporting for management decision-making.

A Tailored Solution

The application is installed locally for high reliability. Workspace modules, permission tiers, and data schemas are structured strictly according to business requirements.

01 Analysis and Design

COMPRÁ TECNOLOGÍA / ANALYSIS & DESIGN

Process first. Interface second.

The project documentation starts with detailed discovery, translating operational business needs into concrete objectives, system actors, business rules, and use cases before any code is written.

01 · Discovery and Scoping

Stakeholder interviews, direct workplace observation, brainstorming, legacy system audits, and functional wireframes to lock down scope, milestones, and priorities.

02 · Specifying Use Cases

Detailing responsible roles, preconditions, primary workflows, edge cases, and expected outcomes—such as generating, approving, and receiving purchase orders.

03 · Solution Architecture

Activity, class, and sequence diagrams map internal behavior, while the entity-relationship model ensures relational integrity and database consistency.

04 · Implementation and Validation

Iterative module engineering backed by strict verification: handling valid/invalid inputs, permission barriers, transactional states, and edge conditions ahead of rollout.

US Users and Permissions

COMPRÁ TECNOLOGÍA / USERS & PERMISSIONS

Each workstation equipped with the right tools.

System access is strictly segmented by operational responsibility. The demo implements granular authorization levels, giving system administrators full control over privilege assignments.

Operational Roles

Sales reps, cashiers, dispatchers, purchasing buyers, hardware technicians, and general managers interact across distinct milestones of the pipeline.

Role-Based Access Control

Granular privileges define who can view, create, edit, or approve records. Access permissions can be granted or revoked instantly based on job responsibilities.

Operational Business Rules

Enforcing operational order: sales reps configure the cart, cashiers process payments, and warehouse dispatchers verify settlement before releasing stock.

VT Sales and Inventory

COMPRÁ TECNOLOGÍA / SALES & INVENTORY

From cart to delivery, with total traceability.

The sales lifecycle is divided into clear steps with dedicated accountability. The module manages checkout items and inventory levels simultaneously, calculating margins, markups, and tax rates in real time.

Order Preparation

Register or select clients, search products using multi-criteria filters, and bundle item quantities and negotiated pricing into an active sales order.

Payment Confirmation

The cashier verifies payment settlement and transitions order status. Once marked as paid, the cart is locked against any further pricing or quantity tampering.

Fulfillment and Identification

Dispatchers verify cleared payment, link physical unit serial numbers, and generate formal delivery notes, guaranteeing an unbroken audit trail between buyer and serial numbers.

CO Purchasing and Warranties

COMPRÁ TECNOLOGÍA / PURCHASING & WARRANTIES

Operations continue behind the counter.

The application links vendors, warehouse stock, inbound purchase orders, and customer warranty tickets. End-to-end traceability allows tracking any unit back to its supplier invoice and onward to the end buyer.

Purchasing and Restocking

Create purchase orders, specify vendor items, quantities, and landed costs, submit for manager authorization, and record partial or complete warehouse receipts.

Returns and RMA Management

Query historical sales and unit serial numbers, log claim tickets, and route to technical inspection. Workflows support repairs, replacements, and automated credit memos.

Operational Analytics

Built-in analytics track profitability margins, product sales velocity, and component failure rates by vendor—providing clear business intelligence.

DB SQL, XML, and Data Architecture

COMPRÁ TECNOLOGÍA / SQL, XML & DATA

Data requires deliberate architecture.

Storage engines and database models are chosen based on data volume, concurrency, relational complexity, and deployment constraints. Relational SQL engines, XML datasets, and file-based structures are tailored to fit each project.

Relational SQL Databases

Structure relational data such as clients, products, vendors, purchase orders, and itemized invoice lines. Schemas enforce constraints, foreign keys, and ACID consistency.

XML and Structured Files

Ideal for local app configuration, portable data exchange, or standalone storage where full database engines are unnecessary.

Data Modeling and Backups

The project includes an entity-relationship schema. Every deployment defines storage directories, scheduled backup routines, and straightforward disaster recovery steps.

Technology Chosen by Need

SQL and XML are offered as architectural options; specifications depend entirely on performance benchmarks and infrastructure needs.

OK Testing and Deployment

COMPRÁ TECNOLOGÍA / TESTING & DEPLOYMENT

From written code to a dependable daily tool.

Every development agreement outlines validation strategies and deployment protocols. Well-defined use cases turn business requirements into verifiable test scripts.

End-to-End Workflow Testing

Verifying creation, search, and update actions across complete business pipelines: e.g., preparing a sale, collecting payment, and dispatching physical inventory.

Boundary and Privilege Auditing

Validating error handling against incomplete forms, corrupt data, unauthorized role elevation, and invalid status transitions.

Environment Preparation

Documenting hardware prerequisites, automated installation, network ports, database connectivity, and initial setup parameters.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Validating interfaces with actual staff to verify real-world usability, applying adjustments, and delivering straightforward user guidelines.

DOC Manual and Documentation

COMPRÁ TECNOLOGÍA / MANUAL & DOCUMENTATION

The delivery includes clear operational instructions.

Software handovers include comprehensive technical documentation and/or an end-user manual based on agreed scope. Every screen and feature comes with straightforward explanations so your team can work with confidence.

User Manual

Login instructions, module overviews, step-by-step procedures, annotated screenshots, error message guides, and role-based permissions.

Installation and Operations

System requirements, initial configuration, database connection parameters, and standard backup/restore procedures.

Engineering Specifications

System goals, use-case specifications, business rules, and UML diagrams. The Comprá Tecnología 38-page thesis document serves as an exhaustive reference model.

Two Documents, Two Audiences

Technical specifications define architectural and structural logic; user manuals guide employees through daily operations without friction.

SRC Handover and Source Code

COMPRÁ TECNOLOGÍA / HANDOVER & SOURCE CODE

Choose the delivery model that fits your business.

You can commission the application for end-user deployment or include complete ownership of the source code. This deliverable scope is established right from day one.

Ready-to-Use Application

Delivery of the compiled, production-ready desktop solution and operational documentation. This tier does not include source code.

Application with Full Source Code

Includes the full solution source code, build scripts, and repositories—giving you the freedom to maintain, adapt, and scale the software with any developer of your choice.

Clear Upfront Deliverables

File packages, technical docs, deployment instructions, warranty terms, and future maintenance agreements are clearly documented from the start.

FROM DISCOVERY TO HANDOVER

An application begins
long before writing code.

Every screen serves an operational task. Every data entity has a purpose. The engineering process connects business needs to a clear, robust solution your team can immediately master.

  1. UnderstandDiscover tasks, team roles, bottlenecks, and priorities.
  2. DesignDefine use cases, business logic, UI layouts, and data schemas.
  3. Build & ValidateDevelop modules and test complete real-world operational flows.
